Indonesian Revolution

I am growing obsessed with this and it could in fact be interfering with my life. Just such an eclectic cast of characters. A political movement not far back in history. Here are some pictures that include

    
.Fatamwati- first wife of President Sukarno


.Dewi Sukarno- Japanese television host, second wife of Sukarno. SCANDALOUS marriage! President Sukarno had his first wife moved from her home against her will after it was consummated. Many people did not approve of her in Indonesia.

.Sayuti Melik and SK Trimituri- the writers of a revolutionary newspaper. SK Trimituri fascinates me. She is one solo woman who sought after power. Look at her! She's so tiny. Her words however had the impact of saving the Indonesian Revolution. She was the first Minister of Labour of the Republic of Indonesia and served under Amir Sjarifoeddin. She cofounded Gerwis- an Indonesian Woman's Organization. Went back to college when she was 41 to complete her Alma Mater in Economics at the University of Jakarta in 1960. She died in May 2008.


.Amir Sjarifoeddin- 2nd Prime Minister of Indonesian and Loyal Communist. He maintained resistance with fellow Marxists during the Dutch occupation and reign of Imperial Japan. He helped overturn the government in 1945. He was killed by Dutch troops on December 14, 1948.

Past Lives or Schizophrenic?

Sometimes I feel like there's two of me. There’s the one who exists right here in the now. This individual has her own views and her own ego. She is able to make decisions even when she is a callous bitch about it and the world is generally easy to understand. Then there is the other person inside of me. I swear she is the most disagreeable person. Her name is Maoko and she is my past life self. She wins a lot of the time because she hangs onto her past or should I say OUR past.  Even before that was a girl named Talulah. She was a slave woman who was murdered. None of her life was that great. She’s fucking us both over even though she is technically both of us.
